The Submarine Museum in Gosport, is part of the Portsmouth dockyard ticket. You can get a river boat across from the main dockyard to visit the museum or you can drive around and just do the submarine Museum. You had a full size WWII a submarine called HMS Alliance that you can go on to. There are three different guides on the submarine that give very interesting facts about life on a submarine and some of the perils and safety elements that can be a concern for those living under water. They also have the Royal Navy the very first submarine at the site as well. There is a museum building to walk around with lots of displays and interactive elements. There is a very nice shop with lots of things that are not very expensive for the children to buy. It is worth buying either the combined ticket for the whole of the Portsmouth dockyard or even better the annual ticket and look for it on offer in places like Groupon.
