Be wary, misleading information they do not offer unlimited mileage...it is capped and you have to pay extra!
Terrible customer service. Don't rent here.Having used the company before and confirmed my address at the time I made my reservation, I was then asked for two proofs of address when I went to collect the vehicle. Having had no warning of this requirement, I had nothing suitable with me and had to go home (an hour walk) to get suitable documents. When I returned, the manager said I should have waited before leaving at the end of my first visit as he was 'trying to sort somerthing out'. When I suggested that this was terrible service, an acrimonious conversation ensued which ended in my being sent away without a vehicle. Thank you to U-Drive just down the road who were polite, quick and efficient in providing me with a vehicle at one minute's notice (and didn't require any proof of address beyond my driving licence). PS This review got one star as it's not possible to post with less. Shoiuld have been a no-star rating.
This is the second time hiring from SSD Fareham, the staff have been friendly, helpful and professional on both occasions. The vans have been in very condition and the whole process straight forward and easy. A brilliant service all round.
Excellent service.I was delayed collecting a rental van and the staff rang me to check if I was coming.They fueled the van for me at a fantastic rate and the lady processing my rental and handing it over was very efficient.Modern fleet of vehicles suited to all car/van needs. Will use again.
We have used Southern Self Drive several times over the last 18 months, most recently in December 2017. We have found the staff to be friendly, helpful, knowledgable and polite at all times. The vehicles have been in very good order, and the booking process very simple. Theyre also the best value! Highly recommended.
