I have been using this post office on a regular basis for the last four years. Today, a Saturday, I needed to check what time the post office closed.As I did so I was amazed to see a relatively low marking for the post office. I have always found the staff unfailingly polite and unfailingly helpful.It is a very small post office which unavoidably means that it cannot offer the full range of services that would be found in a main post office. Equally, with only one serving position, at busy times there can be a bit of a wait.However, there is plenty of free parking immediately adjacent to this post office. Moreover, the only alternative would be to drive into the centre of Fareham, park (and pay for it) and use the main post office which is upstairs in the WH Smiths shop. This main post office's opening hours are nowhere near as user-friendly as those of Fairfield Avenue Post Office.I completely stand by my five out of five rating.
