Quick and efficient service, reasonable cost.

***Despite advertising otherwise in their website, Dunlop will not see you after 4pm Mon-Fri, or at all on weekends***I deleted my previous review as I didnt want to cause my landlady trouble (and these guys would definitely cause it), but as its been a month and theyve done F all you are about to find out that hell hath no fury like a woman who cant clean herself. Despite the fact there are numerous plumbers in the local area who work after 5 and on weekends, our household of Mon-Fri workers have been stitched up with these jokers as our landlady has used them previously. My landlady is sweet enough and I had no reason to doubt her judgement before these guys unfortunately entered our lives. The first visit had a scheduled time slot, I booked the appropriate time off work and waited. And waited. And waited. My husband came home from work and they hadnt even called to say they would be late by that time, or responded to the text we sent. When my husband called the guy, the first response we got was an argument. I said any time in the afternoon said the supposed plumber. Well it says here in your text 1-3pm was my husbands reply, which was followed by more excuses. He eventually shows up, takes the cover off, tells us we need a new part (yeah no kidding I could have told you that), and goes off again in about 5 minutes. Although I was annoyed at having unnecessary wasted my time and losing money for the afternoon, I figured no problem, we all make mistakes, and at least theyll get it sorted soon. How wrong I was. After having wasted an afternoon previously, I put my foot down and explained to my hubby I cant really take any more time off if theres a chance they wont show up. No problem, we thought, as the lad had been to our house at around 4:45 last time, theyll be able to do it again. Oh no, apparently they dont work at this time (even though they did) and it wouldnt be fair to ask the lads to work that late. Each week since this date we have gone in circles, with them saying theyll be there at 4, and each week cancelling last minute because they only have an hour to work on it so they can go home at 5. First off, why set the slot at 4 then? 2nd, I dont really like working past my contracted hours either but Im smart enough to realise you do what you have to do if you want to keep clients! Its been a month now, and when we suggested finding someone else, the response from Dunlop was that theyd have to charge a restock fee for the part that would be ordered. That would be fair enough but they cant even keep it straight as to how much that will be. The only other solution they have come up with (because you know, doing the work you were supposed to do would be too obvious) is to get the keys from our landlady and fit it while were out. Suggesting this once would be fine, but when we have repeatedly said no and they keep pushing for this it raises a huge red flag for me. Why are you so keen to get in my house when were not there? If they had given us a single reason to trust them before they suggested it, I would have considered it, but this seems to be all theyre willing to do. My hubby has a grimy job and using the sink to wash isnt ideal, and I can tell you now that not being able to wash when youre on your period is not a great feeling. Dunlop is clearly a hobby business for the owner and if they are still around in 4 years it will be a crying shame to the legitimate businesses who work overtime when required, and understand the importance of looking after their client base, whether they are the ones who pay them ultimately or not.

Friendly advice given and then turned up on time, problem fixed. Happy family as now have heating and hot water again

January 2016Monday, boiler leaking badly in attic, Monday evening phone around for plumber as no heating or hot water. Tuesday visit by various plumbers with quotes to replace boiler as old. Wednesday quotes in only 1 could start on the Saturday and finish Sunday.Dunlop arrived weekend and replaced boiler fully flushed system, fitted filters where necessary and commissioned. Sunday evening warm house nice bath, proper job.

Cheerful and knowledgeable, Stewart and his apprentice were efficient and very conscientious when they re-routed my kitchen plumbing in preparation for the installation of my new kitchen. They also took care of the connection and subsequent testing of my new cooker and bent over backwards to accommodate me at short notice.First class job at a competitive price. Highly recommended. Thanks Stewart.
